Our Level 1 Home Defense Pistol Skills class gives you a basic set of skills to help you in the nightmare scenario when your safest place – your refuge, your home – is invaded by an intruder, an intruder who, for whatever reason, doesn’t simply go away when challenged by you.

Clearly your ability to accurately and rapidly shoot at targets at ‘in home’ distances (ie up to about 7 yards/21 ft) is the key skill you need to acquire, and along with that, you need to understand what to do to keep your gun running if it should malfunction, or if/when you’ve shot it dry and need to reload it in an extreme hurry.

This class helps you work on these techniques, and introduces you to the concept of shooting a pair of aimed shots at targets.  It also provides you with some tactical skills as to how to manage and control the encounter to maximize your safety and the probability of a successful and safe outcome.

The course ends with a skills test.  It is necessary to pass this skills test in order to be able to progress to the Level 2 class or to the first of the Outside/Concealed Skills classes.

If you don’t pass this skills test – and many people don’t – you can retake the class again and again, with a discount being offered to repeat students.

As always, we guarantee the value and quality of our training.  If at the conclusion of the class you feel you did not learn anything and did not gain new skills, ask for a refund.
